Question - Type 3

3. Subject Question

This type of question is called 'Subject Question' because what is asked is the subject of the sentence.

This question is started with who, what, or which.

Examples :

a. Who creates this world?

b. What makes the cat run?

c. Which has two eyes?

Types of Questionا

2. Wh- Question

     These questions are called Wh- Question because question words (Wh-) start this type of the question. The question words (Wh-) show what is asked.
The formula/Structure is like Yes/No Question. The difference is the Wh- at the beginning.

     The kinds of question words (Wh-) :
a. What
b. Where
c. When
d. Why
e. Who
f. Whom
g. Whose
h. Which
i. How
j. Wh+....
    What + Noun, e.g. what book, what fish, what animal, what kind of .... etc.
     How + Adjective, e.g. how long, how big, how rich, how fast, ....etc.
     Whose + Noun, e.g. whose car, whose bag, whose jacket, whose villa, ....etc.
     Which + Noun, e.g. which house, which road, which choice, which number, ....etc.

Examples of Wh-Questions:
 1. What is on the table?
 2. Where am I now?
 3. When are the players satisfied?
 4. Why do the babies cry?
 5. Who is always angry in this world?
 6. Whom does the young woman talk to over there?
 7. Whose car did you drive yesterday?
 8. Which has their mother taken?
 9. How have we made him frustrated?
10. What fish had you consumed ?
11. How will the president make the people happy?
12. Whose house may arrive first?
13. Which mobile can a little kid use safely?
14. Where must a farmer plant the seed?
15. How much dare you drink in one minute?

Types of Questions

1. Yes/No Question

     This is the easiest question form. Why is it called Yes/No question? It is because to answer it, there are two possible answers, that is, Yes or No.
Formula/Patter/Stucture : KKB + S + ....?

Apa itu KKB? KKB = Kata Kerja Bantu. Dalam bahasa Inggris KKB tugasnya /fungsinya membantu agar kalimat berstruktur / memenuhi kaidah atau aturan tata kalimatnya.

KKB ada 4 Kelompok :

8. did         Did the principal come to the opening?

9. have      Have we collected the assignment?
10. has      Has the guest left our office?
11. had      Had her son called her ?

12. will      Will your Mom agree with you?
13. shall     Shall we buy the ticket now?
14. may      May his friend forgive him?
15. can       Can people live alone?
16. must     Must a driver obey the traffic regulation?
17. dare      Dare he jump to the pool?
18. ought to  Ought the student to ask permission letter?
19. need     Need a girl go out with her family?
